I’ve finally committed net/openbgpd, I hope people will give me feedback soon (or complaints, whatever the name). I’m not using it at the moment, so I may be overlooking something.
I’ve committed some changes to net/ipw-firmware port (well actually lots of changes). The port now uses OPTIONS to ask if if_ipw.ko must be compiled (disabled by default, since HEAD has it for some weeks now), I’ve added some checks so that the port is marked as IGNORE if you’re trying to do something bad. Most important change is that there’s no “ipw” hardcoded anymore, so net/iwi-firmware will be quite easy to write. I think I’ll do that tomorrow.
Not really related to my committer’s work, I’ve finally found a good substitute for sysutils/heartbeat. I already knew about CARP but I thought it was missing some kind of hooks (run something when node state change). Well that’s what ifstated is for, and it’s already in the Ports Collection o/. I haven’t found a lot of documentation (tutorial, ...) on the subject so I may try to write something about that (high-available webserver with CARP and ifstated).
