Linux Emulation on FreeBSD/amd64
Published December 15th, 2005 in FreeBSDFor years I’ve refused to install linux compatibility layer on my FreeBSD machines, but some days ago I’ve finally decided to try it, because I needed linux-realplayer.
Today, I was quite bored not having a flash plugin in my brand fresh new Firefox 1.5 (and even more bored that it ate all my RAM) so I decided to try Opera. www/opera didn’t work because it’s marked as i386-only so I tried www/linux-opera. Install went well, and everything is working nicely. Now I have a working flash plugin and a lightning fast browser \o/.
Kudos to Opera, now I can play on Mausland.de again
