Goodbye XFree86-4
Published March 8th, 2008 in FreeBSD, Ports, X.orgI removed xfree86-4 ports yesterday. Hear hear people, if you’re still using USE_X_PREFIX or USE_XLIB, switch to USE_XORG, now.

Arghhh – I switched to Xorg but it hard locks up my FreeBSD 6.3 and 7.0 amd64 computers if I use the nv driver. I’ve tried several Nvidia cards – AGP 5200, 5500, 6200 and PCI MX4000. Of course the only other usable driver vesa does not support my LCD at 1680×1050
XFree86 was rock solid …
